mobilestock

This fascinating graph shows the rise of mobile payments in China over the first half of 2014.

Mobile payments are more advanced and available in China, with both retailers and messaging apps like WeChat and Line allowing users to pay via mobile.

The following graph, from CNNIC’s report on mobile payments in China, shows how much usage of mobile payments increased from December 2013 to June 2014.

The especially exciting stat is that the utilisation of mobile payments – to those who had it available – saw a much bigger increase when compared with online payments.
