SNAP Subscriber Increase Biggest in 2 Years

Snap Interactive

SNAP Interactive have announced that AYI.com active subscribers increased by 5% in January, the biggest monthly increase since February 2012.

The social dating developer IPO’d last year, and the first month of 2014 saw new subscription transactions up 57% from the previous year, and up 20% from December 2013.

SNAP’s CFO, Jon Pedersen, said: “We continue to see improvements in the rates at which our users convert to paid active subscribers and the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing campaigns.

“Growth in our active subscribers is a leading indicator of the health of our business, and we expect continued growth in the number of active subscribers during 2014 as we move towards profitability.”

AYI.com is a Facebook-linked social dating tool which has 78,000 active subscribers.

SNAP recently announced a partnership with Match to integrate their dating properties into AYI.com’s service.

The partnership will last for three months, but Match say it could become a longterm collaboration.

Last August they also launched their blog The Data of Dating, which gave SNAP success – like HowAboutWe and OkCupid – with its data-centered content getting picked up by the media.
