New Social Dating App Lets Users Meet Through Q&A Games

A new social discovery app is helping people who are interested in more than just appearance to connect through a game of question and answer.

Recently launched German app Candidate lets its users meet new people by asking them a series of quiz-style questions, making the matchmaking process much more personality-focused.

After creating a profile and entering their name, age, and ethnicity, users are required to answer a few questions, to help the app suggest games that match their individual interests.

Once these questions are completed, users can create their own five questions, which are then posted onto the Candidate network for other users to answer.

When another user answers the set of questions, the answers are ranked by the quiz creator, and are them matched users who have given the best answers to their questions.

Unlike most dating apps who show user profile pictures and details to help users decide if they are interested, Candidate remains completely anonymous until two users match.

Once matched, each user’s profile pictures and information is revealed and the pair can begin chatting for as long as they wish.

Given that the app is new onto the market, users are currently matched only by gender preference, however the Candidate team are working to add more filters to its match selection process.

Candidate is currently available to download for free on the App Store and Play Store.
