Christians Make ‘Better Lovers’ Says New Tube Adverts from Christian Connection

Christian Connection

Christian Connection has become the first religious dating site to advertise on the London Underground.

The largest Christian dating site in the UK will launch their surprising advertising campaign next week.

They range from the rather risqué “Christians Make Better Lovers” to the amusing, “Another Dating Website? Thank God!”.

Jackie Elton, founder of Christian Connection, said: “We wanted to be friendly, engaging and surprising.

“We hope it will make people of all faiths and none sit up and take notice. The campaign informs single Christians about a website that may help them find a mate who shares the same world view.

“The style is exciting, colourful and delightfully retro. Until now we have relied on religious media and word of mouth but we want to spread our wings and reach a wider range of Christians. They are out there — we want them to know we are here.”

Launched in 2000, Christian Connection is the largest dating site in the UK, and was voted best niche dating site at the 2013 iDate awards.

They estimate that there are 1.4 million single Christians between the ages 25 and 60 in the UK.

The murals were made by graphics artist Alex Fowkes, and the campaign created by Chas Bayfield from Noah, who has designed several church advertising campaigns before.

Bayfield said: “We believe this is a great opportunity to tell the world about Christian Connection and create a campaign that is contemporary and relevant — something many church organisations aren’t always known for.”
