The organisers of the Startups Awards 2015 have today announced their decision to extend the entry period by two weeks.
The official entry deadline for the 12th annual awards has already passed, however the organisers have been overwhelmed by requests from startups to give them more time to submit their applications.
As a result, the final deadline for the 2015 awards is now the 25th September 2015.
This year’s Startups Awards is sponsored by British business insurance broker Simply Business, and has been organised by Startups.co.uk.
The awards are held to recognise and celebrate the success of the UK’s newest and most innovative businesses that have been trading for four years or less.
There is a total of 15 awards given out at the event, across a range of categories.
This year, the categories include Innovative Business of the Year, Service Business of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as four new awards for 2015: App of the Year, Export Business of the Year, Retail Business of the Year and Lean Start-up of the Year.
The 2015 ceremony will be held on Friday 27th November at the Vinopolis, near London Bridge.
The evening will be hosted by comedian Alun Cochrane.
This year’s awards will be one of the last events at the site, which is due to close at the end of the year, in order to accommodate a new upmarket shopping development.
