Online Buddies Add Tinder-Style Dandy To Gay Dating Porfolio

Online Buddies have added to their portfolio of gay dating brands, with an acquisition of Tinder-style app Dandy.

The Massachusetts-based company already own Manhunt.net and Jack’d – which they bought in November 2013.

New addition Dandy is a gamified hot-or-not style dating app from Germany, that links up via Facebook.

The app has a few interesting monetisation features, such as “Get Matched” – where you can pay to be featured on the feed of a user you didn’t get matched up with.

This costs 99c.

“Profile boost” will also make sure that your picture gets seen “early and often” by nearby users.

Adam Segel, CEO of Online Buddies and founder of Manhunt, said: “Mobile and online dating is a crowded space, and we noticed that some guys consider it a real hassle.

“That’s why we wanted to invest in something that was a little different than the standard dating app — something more fun and game-like.

“Our acquisition of Dandy really demonstrates our continued commitment to provide gay men with multiple ways to connect with one another.”

The app is available on iOS, check it out here.
