This month, Southeast Asia’s leading dating app Paktor launched an in-app fundraising campaign for breast cancer support.

The app’s “Take A Swipe At Breast Cancer” campaign ran from the 15th to 21st October, and used Paktor’s swipe right mechanism to help donate to the cause.

When a user came across the campaign’s profile, if they swiped right, Paktor would donate $0.10 to the charity.

The campaign was launched to coincide with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which hopes to raise $10,000 to support breast cancer charities across Southeast Asia.

And from the 15th to 21st October, Paktor donated to local charities across Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam for every person who swiped right to the profile.

The app has not yet disclosed the total amount raised by the campaign.

Paktor recently hired two former Meetic executives to help spearhead its international expansion.

The app has welcomed a new Director of International Expansion, Jose Ruano, and Vice President of Marketing Miguel Mangas to the team, to lead its aggressive growth into international markets.
