Aisle’s New Feature Helps Users Display Their Plans For Settling Down

Aisle has introduced a new profile feature which allows users to easily showcase what kind of serious relationships they are looking to find on the app.

‘Settle Down’ was created as part of the platform’s commitment to matching people for long-term connections. Singles can now choose from a number of options to make it obvious whether or not they want to get married and when they’re aiming to “settle down”.

Both individuals in the match can now have complete clarity of each other’s intentions and avoid wasting time and awkward conversations about the future. Premium members can also reply directly to the ‘Settle Down’ option and immediately talk about their plans.

Founder and CEO Able Joseph explained in a statement: “We are constantly pushing the envelope to offer our users the best of services. High intent dating across the globe is customised for people and their sensitivities.

“In India, the trajectory of a successful relationship is for it to culminate in a marriage. Aisle has always been an enabler for long term relationships and with Settle down we wanted to converge the gap between modern dating and matrimony.”

Early testing shows that half of the app’s users are looking to settle within the next year, while just over a quarter are aiming for one to two years.

Aisle launched a premium feature at the end of last year called ‘Concierge’, which produces a collection of high-quality potential matches in one place. This helps users save time looking through every profile and quickly set them up with the singles who best suit their preferences.

The team is also working on a potential suite of new dating apps for a number of India’s native languages. The first of these, ‘Arike’, was launched in March for the 40 million speakers of Malayalam around the world.
