Bumble CEO to Speak at SXSW 2020

Whitney Wolfe Herd, the CEO of Bumble and MagicLab, will return to South by Southwest as a keynote speaker in early 2020, it has been revealed.

The Austin-based tech festival takes place a short distance from Bumble HQ, running across 13-22 March next year.

The entrepreneur will speak alongside Blackstone’s Global Head of Growth Equity Jon Korngold following the multinational’s investment into MagicLab’s dating business.

The session is set to be hosted by Gayle King, co-host of CBS This Morning

Other speakers include filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, actress Zoe Saldana, Future of Sex founder Bryony Cole and Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes.

Some of the key topics for the show include ‘Cannabusiness’, ‘Climate & Social Action’, ‘Space’ and ‘Workplace’.

Last week, online publication The Richest compiled a list of some of Wolfe Herd’s top talking points.

She often emphasises the importance of understanding basic human psychology as relates to the internet. 

The CEO also encourages people to follow their dreams, and to push past negativity from onlookers in business.
