Bumble Partners With Airbnb For Virtual Valentine’s Day Experiences

Bumble has partnered with popular holiday rental platform Airbnb to offer a unique range of virtual activities for couples to enjoy this Valentine’s Day.

At the beginning of February, Airbnb released a collection of ‘Bumble-Approved’ romantic dates. It includes a virtual game night at the Louvre museum, a hidden Spanish jazz club, Irish whiskey tasting and many more.

The events can be joined from all over the world allowing people to experience cultures that they might not normally have the opportunity to.

The Bumble and Airbnb collaboration was first launched in April to help people to get through the first lockdown. However, the latest instalment was launched after the social and dating app found that 90% of people are unsure what to do for Valentine’s Day 2021.

Jemma Ahmed, Bumble’s Head of Insights, explained in a statement: “We’ve found that over 60% of daters are expecting the desire to travel to be a top conversation topic this year, especially as travel restrictions continue to prevail in various countries.

“With this in mind, we wanted to offer our community the opportunity to experience activities from all corners of the world –  all while connecting with someone in a safe, fun, and interactive way.”

Bumble users in North America, the UK and Australia will have exclusive access to a 20% discount for any Airbnb experience booked before May 2021. All they need to do is swipe right on the in-app branded profile.

They can also organise the activities from a chat, marking the app’s first-ever messaging integration with a partner.
