Online dating platform Eden has launched a Locals Deals feature which allows users to see great value deals for their next date. The platform has formed new partnerships to display over 1 million products from all over the world.
These products include discounted activities, cruises, hotels, restaurants, and more. As well as assisting users to find these great deals, this feature opens a new revenue stream for the platform itself.
Justin Haar, Founder of Eden, explained that this feature helps Eden continue its mission of “bringing the world closer together”. As opposed to keeping people glued to their phones, he says this is an example of technology that enables local real life experiences.
“We really are just at the beginning stages of using innovation and technology to bring people together”, he told Global Dating Insights.
In addition to the Local Deals tool, the platform has adopted a range of new improvements and features. The app’s Music tab is now further optimised, looking fresher and now with the ability for users to Shazam songs.
Furthermore it’s released a host of new privacy options, allowing users to hide their location, hide their profile from being filtered for, and hide personal labels. “This is a great way for users to still register and connect with people without disclosing their personal identities”, Haar explained.
Eden also added a new Resources page, containing information regarding worldwide suicide hotlines, health hotlines, global LGBTQ+ clinics and centers. This includes all US health clinics ranging from testing centers, sexual health, mental health and much more using US HIV Locator Data.
