eHarmony has appointed a new head of communications for the UK.
Rachael Lloyd has joined the dating giant as Senior PR and Communications Manager for eHarmony.co.uk.
Lloyd joins the company from weight-management experts LighterLife UK, where she oversaw all PR and content across the brand, leading PR for both LighterLife UK and LighterLife Fast.
Speaking about her new role, Lloyd said: “I’m delighted to join eHarmony, which is obviously an established and exciting international brand.
“I’m going to be focusing on helping differentiate eHarmony from other sites, drawing on the high level of investment in science and psychology that supports its unique Compatibility Matching System.
“In an increasingly dense market, eHarmony offers so much more than a swipe and is committed to helping people find lasting relationships.”
Lloyd will report to UK Country Manager Romain Bertrand, and will be focusing on increasing brand consideration, hitting commercial goals and liaising with the company’s PR teams in the US and Australia.
Lloyd began her career as a national news and magazine journalist, which included three years as a Commissioning Editor at the Daily Mail, before moving into PR and working with Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Really Useful Group on a number of arts and communications projects in a role with communications agency BLJ London.
Romain Bertrand, eHarmony.co.uk UK Manager, said: “With an impressive mix of journalistic and communications experience, we are thrilled to welcome Rachael to the team and feel confident in her ability to transfer a passion for storytelling into the creation of innovative content for the media and across all of our channels.”
Last week, the dating brand announced that founder & CEO Dr. Neil Clark Warren was stepping down as CEO, with former VP of brand marketing, Grant Langston, taking his place.
