european dating awards 2016

Award entries for the first ever European Dating Awards officially close on Friday.

After two very successful years in the UK, the awards are expanding to the European mainland for the very first time to celebrate excellence and expertise in all areas of the dating industry.

The awards, founded by dating blogger Charly Lester, will be held in Amsterdam on the 12th May at the beautiful Rode Hoed venue, as part of a joint one-day event with GDI’s European Conference.

This year, there are 13 different award categories, including Online Dating Brand of the Year, Dating App of the Year, Dating Expert of the Year, Best New Dating App and Best Niche Dating Site among others.

Entries will close on April 15th at 11.59pm GMT, and are now subject to a “Last Minute” entry fee – which you can find out more about here.

The awards will be judged by an independent panel of industry experts, and the finalists will be announced on Twitter on Monday April 25th.

The event next month is the first collaborative effort between GDI & The Dating Awards, with the second ever GDI conference running from 9am until 4pm, and the awards starting in the evening from 6pm with a champagne reception.

Throughout the day, GDI will also be running a matchmaking stream alongside the main online dating-focused track, which will be hosted by Caroline Brealey from London matchmaking company, Mutual Attraction.

Our exciting speaker line-up so far includes the CEOs of Zoosk, The Inner Circle, Venntro, Paktor & M14/Bristlr as well as top executives from European dating companies Happn, Meetic, Dating Factory & Once.

And with exciting new speakers, a broader European focus and industry delegates attending from all over the world, the joint event promises to be the must-attend dating industry of the year.
