Earlier this month, a journalist at GQ published an article documenting what happened when his mum took charge of his Tinder account for a whole month.

Writer Clay Skipper explains how after four years of single life, he downloaded the popular dating app on his mum’s phone, and asked her to find him a date.

As the story unfolds, Skipper amusingly reveals how his mum spent time each day swiping through Tinder profiles, matching and chatting to women who she thinks are suitable for him.

He also details his mum’s reactions to some on the people that she came across when using the app on his behalf, some of the failed dates his mum set up, and even a few of the funny dating app faux pas his mum executed when on the app.
