Hily Creates Quiz to Measure User Compatibility

Hily has launched an in-app test that will show people their compatibility score with another user before they match.

The Compatibility Quiz asks questions about a single’s lifestyle and romantic preferences to figure out who their ideal match might be.

There are 30 preset questions overall that cover various topics, such as whether or not someone is always honest with a partner, and whether they’d rather go out partying or visit relatives.

Users need to answer at least 10 questions to get a result, which is provided as a percentage, but Hily advises that all 30 should be completed to get the most accurate scores.

After each party has completed the quiz, a ‘Check Your Compatibility’ button will appear so an informed decision can be made before they swipe left or right.

Hily insists the scores shouldn’t be the only factor singles consider in their search, but it does claim it will limit the number of “random matches” that are made.

The popular startup dating app is beginning to expand into mainland Europe following initial successes in North America, Asia and the UK. It was first made available in France in early July before being rolled out in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in recent months.

According to data from Sensor Tower, Hily ranked 7th in the list of dating apps by total worldwide revenue for July 2019.
