Positive Singles Creates Resource to Recommend Sexual Health Clinics

Positive Singles, one of the most popular online dating services for people suffering from sexually transmitted diseases, has released a new resource to recommend clinics for a variety of sexual health issues.

The list is available as a separate webpage, so people can access it even if they aren’t an active member of the dating platform.

Organisations across the United States are recommended, providing a mixture of testing, education and contraceptive measures. Users can find the relevant addresses and phone numbers to easily book their appointments.

A spokesperson for Positive Singles said in a statement: “We know that life can be really difficult for those suffering from sexually transmitted diseases. Most people don’t want others to know of their condition and therefore refrain from seeking medical help.

“This is why we have come up with a list of recommended clinics so that such people can check the details and seek help.”

Positive Singles was first launched in 2001 to remove the stigma around people who have sexually transmitted diseases. It takes some of the pressure out of dating and stops the singles from worrying about when to tell their new partners about their situation.

Last year, the platform introduced a discrete app icon to stop users from accidentally revealing their condition or dating situation to someone who is looking at their phone.

UK-based competitor ‘Positive Plus One’ raised £260,000 in an investment round to further drive the app’s growth and improve its functionality.
