Protect My Call Appoints Renee Slansky as Global Ambassador

Protect My Call has recently appointed international dating and relationship coach Renee Slansky to the role of Global Ambassador.

Slansky is also the founder of Australia’s number one dating blog, The Dating Directory.

She is a dating and relationship adviser to some of the largest sites in the world including The Huff Post, Elite Daily, Your Tango and more. Slansky also works with TV networks and is a dating ambassador and adviser to Happn, eHarmony, PlentyOfFish, WeDate and more.

Protect My Call’s Australia Director, Stephanie McKenzie, said: “With a social and community reach of 100’s of thousands, Renee has a clear insight into what the consumers are experiencing and needing.  Renee knows not only the statistics and trends in the dating industry, but also the real stories from women and men globally who essentially reach out to her for advice and guidance. Renee becomes an integral cog in the PMC wheel.  Her experience and expertise as a leading coach in the dating industry means that Renee is able to see both sides of the picture and therefore is the link between business and consumer, the developers and the users.”

Renee Slansky commented: “I hear and receive so many stories from my followers about their experiences of using online dating apps and safety being a key deciding factor when choosing to use or stay on an app. Protect My Call takes members security to a new level by removing the need for members to swap their real numbers. I’m fully behind making user experiences safer and Protect My Call helps deliver this ambition.”

Protect My Call works like a Facebook friend request – users are able to send ‘protected call requests’ to other people, which can either be accepted or declined.

The security feature means if the user accepts the request, both parties will receive a SMS containing a digitized code, which they can then text, call or send picture messages to.

It enables online daters to move their communications off of an app without exchanging numbers.

Andrew Wittich, Co-Founder and Director of Protect My Call, said: “We are excited to have Renee on our team not only as a global ambassador but also as a voice of the members, so that we are able to create safe and positive experiences for dating app users. The timing is perfect as we are also pleased to announce we have launched in the USA and Canada and further territories coming on board next month.”
