S’More, the anti-superficial dating service, has begun the new year by unveiling a completely redesigned app, which has an extra focus on personalisation, self-expression and discovery.
The platform wants to offer a natural way to meet people, and aims to give off a relaxed social media vibe, rather than the normal pressures of swiping on a dating app.
Profiles are now 100% customisable and users can take advantage of ‘drag and drop’ technology to order the information in any way that they want. The preference icons are also animated to create a more fun and unique dating experience.
Singles will now be shown their ‘Daily Matches’ in a carousel format with a customisable background. They can then instantly send messages from the profile screen, instead of being required to navigate to a new one.
Adam Cohen Aslatei, CEO of S’More, explained in a statement: “Phase one of our redesign was completed in under 30 days and offers a totally new way to meet and interact with a person that feels more much like MySpace than any dating app.
“S’More was created to slow down the process of getting to meet someone new, and focus on more than a headshot. We built a completely new way to connect with someone special that is interactive, multimedia, and focused on discovery and self expression, not instant judgement.”
The new release was timed to coincide with ‘Dating Sunday’, which this year fell on 3rd January, and the rest of the features are scheduled to be released before Valentine’s Day.
S’More reportedly saw a 200% increase in user activity, on what is annually the busiest day for online dating.
