The company behind UK dating app Temptr is looking to raise funds to expand its user base and develop new features for its three main brands.
Using investment crowdfunding platform Crowdcube, Relevant Mix wants to raise $150,000, which it says will go towards growing Temptr in Australia and India.
And having put 12.2% equity on offer, with 24 days left Relevant Mix has raised £6,960 of its full target from 10 investments.
Temptr is a Tinder-style app that builds on the common swiping functionality by letting singles exchange photos with their matches and broadcast their location using its “check-in” feature.
Speaking about the app, Temptr owner Jack Knowles said: “Temptr has some great unique features that users love and makes us stand out from the crowd. We are fresh – and the Temptr app is very simple and completely free to use.
“Some amazing new features are in the pipeline, and this investment will accelerate overall developments.”
The app is live in 40 countries, and to help grow the app’s user base Knowles has focused on PR – getting the app mentioned in publications like OK! magazine, Closer, The Telegraph & DailyStar, while also receiving endorsements from reality stars Mario Falcone and James Locke from The Only Way Is Essex.
As well as Temptr, Relevant Mix also runs white label platform DatingBeyond and international text message company JustTXT.
