We Interview Mapping Company iGeolise, Who Want To Bring Travel Time To The Online Dating Search

Last year at the first ever Spotlight on Startups competition, London mapping company iGeolise fought off competition from a number of growing dating brands to be named the winner of the growth stage category.

The London-based company has built a platform that allows users of a website or app to filter search results by travel time, rather than distance.

For example, rather than having to search for a job within two miles of London on a recruitment site, you can instead search for jobs that are less than an hour away from your home.

The company has seen strong success integrating this technology in the recruitment and housing spaces, with Zoopla and Property Wise both registering a 300% increase in conversions using the technology, and now iGeolise is looking to partner with brands in the dating industry.

As co-founder Charlie Davies said in his recent GDI Meets interview: “Dating to us has always been a really interesting concept for the use of our technology. You’ve got two people that are trying to find a date – somewhere to go.

“Our technology makes it so that when you are looking through and scrolling through lots of different potential dates, you actually know that you can conveniently meet each other within a certain amount of time.”
