Badoo recently partnered with digital media company Jungle Creations for a new social campaign to promote the dating app with a viral video.
The new campaign promotes Badoo’s new-look app on Jungle Creations’ popular Facebook channel VT.
VT posts viral content to over 17m people who like the page on Facebook.
Badoo’s viral video attempt sees two identical twins, Tights and Kay Musa, swap places on a series of secretly-filmed dates.
The three-minute video begins with Tights and Kay swiping through potential partners on Badoo, then shows the twins switching places on the actual dates to grill each other’s partners.
The video then ends with an on-screen caption reading: “Find someone that your sister approves of… Download Badoo”.
“Our audience are at the heart of everything we do and we think they’re going to love this latest piece of content.”
So far, the video has registered over 3m views, 3,703 shares and 19k reactions.
Creative development, filming and production were all done by Jungle Creations’ in-house creative team, who specialise in creating engaging and shareable original content for social media.
Tom Livingstone, Marketing Manager at Badoo, said: “Our mission is to provide the best technology for our 358 million users to meet whilst encouraging new people to join Badoo through effectively communicating what the app offers.
“We sought Jungle Creations’ expertise because they offer the full breadth of services we required, including a highly engaged audience that we think are going to respond really well to this funny feel-good video.”
Last month, Badoo released a new live video chat feature for its app, which has undergone a full redesign this year.
