Bumble to Throw March Madness Beer Pong Tournament
Bumble is hosting its second annual March Madness watch party and beer pong tournament in Austin, Texas.
March Madness sees the top 64 US college basketball teams compete in a knockout tournament over the course of several weeks.
The feminist app’s event is taking place on 30th March at the Parlor & Yard bar. Complimentary snacks and drinks will be handed out on arrival for people who can show a Bumble profile on their phone.
Eight pairs will be competing in the beer pong tournament, which gets underway at 3pm CDT, for a chance to win an exclusive Bumble prize pack. Participants have been encouraged to find their teammate on the app.
The description on the event’s Facebook page reads: “Start swiping on Bumble now to invite someone to the event & secure your Pong Partner! – And don’t fret if you haven’t found a partner before you arrive, you can set your Bumble radius to 1 mile and continue swiping.”

After the beer pong has concluded, the first two matches of the Elite 8 round will be shown on a big screen.
Bumble has hosted a number of parties throughout March Madness in different cities across the US, including Atlanta, Arizona and Boston. As well as watching the games, attendees have been playing socialising games, receiving Bumble merchandise and unlocking discount codes for local businesses.
Michele Tobin was recently appointed as the social app’s VP of Partnerships, and will work to spread Bumble’s message by collaborating with a variety of brands.
