Ex Tinder CPO Joins Web3 Gaming Company
Josh Sell, who served as Chief Product Officer at Tinder from July 2020 to January 2022, has joined N3twork Studios. His new role as Chief Operating Officer will see him support the development of Web3 and blockchain games.
Invezz reports that Sell oversaw the launch of the ‘Explore’ tab on Tinder. The feature allows singles to connect based on different passions and interests, for example ‘Coffee Date’ or ‘Animal Parents’.
At N3twork, Sell will help with the development of new Web3 games Legendary: Heroes Unchained and Triumph, which are set to be released in 2023.
Legendary: Heroes Unchained makes use of blockchain and Web3 technology as the heroes players can collect are non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This means they can be sold and loaned to other players too.
“What attracted me to N3twork Studios was a combination of talented people, awesome products, and a clear opportunity to make an impact. The folks I met with prior to joining were all intrinsically motivated by consumer experience. Their views lined up perfectly with my own around how Web3 can drive genuine and sustained player benefit. I also got my hands on the product(s) before joining and loved them; there’s a huge opportunity for success here”, Sell said.
Matt Ricchetti, President of N3twork Studios commented: “Josh is a world-class product executive who brings a ton of Web2 and Web3 gaming experience to N3twork Studios. With Josh on board, we’ll be able to take our two upcoming titles to the next level, particularly as we move into live operations on both in 2023.”
