KokTailz Launches Geo-Location Feature

Dating app KokTailz has launched its geo-location ‘clink’ feature. When a user comes across a potential match in real life, the app automatically puts that person on the user’s timeline.

The feature can even let users know how many times they’ve ‘clinked’ with another user in their day to day life.

KokTailz, which is cocktail themed, also connects users through other features. For example, it lets users select filters for the type of person they’d like to connect with, and then uses an “efficient algorithm” to get users closer to those with similar interests and hobbies.

It also helps users to set up in-person dates. On the app’s interface, Google Places will suggest locations for meals or activities for a date, giving users a direct way to see reviews as well. Without leaving the app, users can call these places and book reservations.

The Chicago-based app clarified its safety measures, stating that users cannot chat, video call, or audio call with other users until they’re matched. The geo-location feature only shows the location of the ‘clink’, not user’s active locations.

The app has a number of premium features available including the ability to see users from different countries, to rewind when accidentally swiping the wrong direction on a potential match, and to remove ads.
