Spark Networks has made two new additions to its Board of Directors, including the company’s CEO Eric Eichmann.
Also joining the board is Chelsea Grayson, the former CEO of clothing brands American Apparel and True Religion. She has also served on the boards of Vireo Health, Sugarfina and Delta Dental.
Grayson explained in a statement that she’s honoured to be working with Spark Networks and is optimistic about future product development, which she hopes will lead to capturing greater market share.
Eichmann joined Spark Networks in November last year and has helped it recover from a difficult few months. The company has seen its share price increase by almost 140% since 23rd March.
Chairman of the Board of Directors David Khalil added: “We believe the strong additions of Chelsea and Eric to the Board will further advance Spark Network’s growth initiatives and development strategy.
“Chelsea is an experienced public company executive with a proven track record of developing strong consumer-facing brands and creating long-term value.
“Eric is a visionary leader, helping to reposition the Company, and whose insight, expertise and strong knowledge of our sector make him a natural addition to our Board of Directors.”
Spark Networks is due to publish its financial results for the first half of 2020 before the New York Stock Exchange opens on Thursday, 27th August.
