Tinder Offering Ultimate First Date For User With Best Bio

Tinder has launched a competition to find the best bio in Australia, and is offering a dream first date to the winner.

In collaboration with Pedestrian.TV, the dating app wants users to create more in-depth profiles to increase the chances of finding a perfect match.

The owner of the winning bio will receive up to $1,000 to create the ultimate Tinder date. Four runners up will be gifted a free Gold membership.

Users can enter in one of two ways by visiting the Pedestrain.TV website. They can either upload a screenshot of their profile or simply write it out again in 25 words or less.

The two companies partnered in October which gave the publishing brand advertising rights within the app.

Kristen Hardeman was recently appointed as the Australian country manager as Tinder begins a renewed push into the APAC market. CEO Elie Seidman has been doing a number of media appearances in the region and dropped a hint about a potential new relationship feature.

One of the dating app’s first Australian employees and former Marketing Director Josh Metz departed last month to work on a acne treatment startup founded by two of his friends.
