Tinder Rolls Out ‘Swipe Ride’ Video Series to Uncover Female Attitudes Towards Dating
Tinder has launched Swipe Ride, a new series to encourage uninhibited and meaningful conversations about what women really expect from dating in India.
The series premiers on Tinder’s YouTube channel, and will be presented by social media content creator Kusha Kapila as she picks up a Tinder user to meet their date.
It is designed to encourage discussions around dating, intimacy, and how modern society presents problems to dating in the 21st century.
Kusha Kapila will also be joined by Bollywood star Sarah Ali Khan. The two celebrities will join a Tinder user to dig into the app, read fun bios and profiles, as well as discussing other areas of online dating, such as first date nerves, the rules of dating, and the importance of being authentic and honest.
Talking about the show, Kusha Kapila told IANS: “Indian society has often defined how a woman must conduct herself in all aspects. With the ‘Swipe Ride’ series, to see Tinder female members redefine such age-old societal ideas and rewrite their narratives was almost like talking to my younger self, different but yet so similar.
“Being in the driver’s seat, literally and metaphorically, is what women need today and I am really proud to have a role to play in facilitating these meaningful discussions.”
The second series of ‘Swipe Night’ is set to be released in November. The choose-your-own adventure show will have users follow an unfolding crime and try to work out who the culprit is.
