Last month Netflix was overtaken as the top-grossing revenue-generating non-gaming app in Europe for the first time since October 2016 by Tinder.
Tinder became the #1 top-grossing non-gaming app across Europe in September according to recent Newzoo figures.
The dating app pushed Netflix down to the #2 spot, ahead of Deezer, Spotify and fellow dating apps Badoo, LOVOO and AdoptUnMec.
Elsewhere in Europe, in terms of downloads, YouTube overtook Instagram at #2, and Google saw gains with both Gmail and Chrome seeing strong download rates.
After spending eight days at the top of the iOS App Store top-grossing chart in the US at the beginning of September, the dating app slipped a few places as the month wore on, before returning to the top at the beginning of October.
Tinder first hit the top spot on 30th August after releasing Tinder Gold, the dating app seeing a steady increase from the bottom of the top 20 in Jan 2016 to the top of the pile.
