Facebook is changing its Events page to include recommended events based on your interests and activity.
Some users have started noticing a new layout, and an added Events for You section, on the social network.
Facebook confirmed to TechCrunch that this is a beta test of their new Events page.
Currently, Events will only show you events you’ve been invited to, or those your friends are going to.

The new section takes information from things like pages you have liked, apps you use and check-in history, to offer tailored event recommendations.
Events will be rolled out globally soon, and later in the year will be released for iOS and Android.
Whether an events-based app will form part of the “unbundling” of the “big blue app” Mark Zuckerberg has recently spoken about, remains to be seen.
This has long been an area that Facebook needed to improve, and brings potential monetisation strategies, with promoted events and tailored advertising.
