Teacher-School Matching App Raises $1.2 Million in Funding

The dating-style app which matches teachers with school jobs has just raised $1.2 million in funding.

The app, named ‘Selected’, currently helps match teachers with jobs at PreK-12 schools in the US.

The funding is part of a seed round led by Propel Capital, with Kapor Capital and other investors also participating.

The funding will help the company refine its matchmaking algorithm and also help to expand the app into new cities beyond the U.S. northeast.

The app was founded in 2016 and is based in New York.

It currently works with more than 500 public and independent schools.

The company also claims to have reached to a total of 10,000 teachers, according to TechCrunch.
