The Meet Group Raises Money for Action Against Hunger

The Meet Group is running another charity partnership, this time to raise money for Action Against Hunger.

A limited addition virtual gift will be available to purchase for MeetMe, Tagged and Skout users. The Meet Group has pledged to donate $0.25 every time one of these gifts is sent to a broadcaster, up to an aggregate of $10,000.

The Thanksgiving promotion is running from November 15th until the end of the month.

Catherine Cook Connelly, The Meet Group’s VP of Brand Strategy, said in a statement: “Nearly half of all child deaths worldwide are from causes related to undernutrition, and roughly 821 million people go to bed hungry every night.

“This Thanksgiving season, we want to bring awareness to hunger as a global issue. Hunger is predictable, preventable, and treatable and I know our community will come together and support families in need.”

Action Against Hunger has been leading the fight against global hunger for nearly 40 years. The charity is committed to doubling the number of children who receive urgent care to six million by 2020.

The Meet Group recently ran similar fundraising drives for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Ryan’s Well Foundation, raising $10,000 for each organisation.
