Dating.com Group Targets More Acquisitions in Asia and North America

Dating.com Group is reportedly eyeing a number of acquisitions of dating companies across the Asian and North American markets.

The company currently owns over 15 online dating services and is looking to expand its worldwide reach by partnering with emerging startups as well as more established brands.

Flagship Dating.com was integrated with livestreaming capabilities in October 2019, so the parent company is hoping to get involved with more video-based platforms which are particularly popular in APAC.

Alla Gubenko, board director in Dating.com Group, said in a statement: “Countless dating startups have popped up in recent years and we are eager to find ones that are a good fit for Dating.com Group’s ambitious goals.

“Our key markets are Asia and the U.S., for their growth potential. We’d love to make deals with companies targeting those areas in creative ways.”

The strategy decision was made during Dating.com Group’s annual Spring Board meeting in Malta.

The firm is also trying to encourage recent divorcees to sign up by offering special ‘Uncuffing Season’ discounts to anyone who can provide images of their divorce papers. The idea is to give new users the chance to enjoy a casual dating life over the summer months.

Dating.com Group was a sponsor of the first ever GDI Singapore Dating Conference, which took place at the Marina Bay Sands hotel last week.
